Many contributions were asked to draft amendments to the VFF Charter to facilitate the Party’s tasks of; building the country in the transitional period towards socialism, promoting national unity, enhancing the VFF’s role in mass mobilisation and democracy promotion, encouraging Party building and strengthening the law-governed socialist state.

Many delegates suggested that the current situation is posing new challenges which require improvements in the operation of the VFF and its branches. These improvements will allow greater collaboration in communication, mobilisation and the organisation of social supervision and criticism.

Earlier, former Party, State and VFF leaders suggested that the report should reflect the relationships between the Party, the State, the political system and the people and should evaluate the VFF’s role and position in democracy promotion within the Party, the political system and society in order to create a high consensus.

VFF Vice President and General Secreatry Vu Trong Kim expressed his gratitude for the contributed ideas which will be studied and included in the draft report for the VFF’s upcoming congress.
