The new hospital has 288 employees, 21 departments and a centre for prenatal and infant care to serve the needs of the area’s 12 provinces and cities.
Nguyen Huu Du, director of the hospital, said with its modern equipment and advanced technology, the hospital is a pioneer for in-vitro fertility treatment in the Mekong Delta.
In an effort to relieve the city’s overcrowded childcare facilities, the hospital will also provide medical check-ups and treatment for children.
