One national examination to be held for high school graduation and entrance to University

Nhan Dan – As of 2015, only one national examination will be organised for results to recognise graduation from high school and to admission to universities and colleges.

This information was revealed at a press conference in Hanoi on September 9 held by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to announce the examination.

The examination will be held annually in the middle of June and in 2015, it will take place June 9-12.

Students must sit for compulsory tests in maths, literature and foreign language and one more test chosen from the subjects of physics, chemistry, biology, history and geography. They can choose to take further tests from the above mentioned subjects to have more chance of acceptance to universities and colleges.

During the press conference, MOET representatives also announced plans for preparing tests, giving marks, grading graduation and processing registration to universities and colleges.
