Bui Hoai Dung, a medical staff at the Hanoi Beer Alcohol And Beverage Joint Stock Corporation, won the first prize for her article on sharing how her corporation worked to effectively care for workers.
The contest was open to entrants from March 1 to July 31 this year by the Lao Dong (Labour) Newspaper and the Asia Foundation. It aimed to provide businesses nationwide with an opportunity to exchange their experiences in ensuring labour safety for employees, improving working conditions, and raising labour productivity.
The contest attracted 850 entries by competitors across the country − many of them workers at industrial parks and procession zones. The entrants not only made suggestions to improve working conditions for workers, but also collected legal documents on the field.
