The President made this remark while attending a working session with the HPU in Hanoi on January 15.

Praising the efforts and achievements made by the HPU in the last school year, President Sang asked the HPU to devise an appropriate mechanism to recruit talented and dedicated students as well as improve teaching methods and curriculums to ensure that graduates will be confident and pragmatic protectors of justice.

The training of personnel and scientific research should also be a focus, the President said, adding that students should be equipped with both theoretical and practical knowledge during the training.

The HPU, formerly known as the School for Procuracy Training, was established under the Prime Minister's Decision No.614/QĐ-TTg dated April 24, 2013.

The university has trained thousands of officials for all levels of people’s and military procuracies, and made significant contributions to increasing the capacity of public procurators.
