During the two-day event, a seminar on French language teaching in the region and a workshop to introduce French learning opportunities in Vietnam and other countries with French speaking communities are scheduled to take place.
Ten outstanding students majoring in French language will be selected for scholarships on this occasion.
According to Anissa Barrak, Asia-Pacific Regional Director of the International Organisation of La Francophonie, the Francophone Festival is held not only in Vietnam but also many other countries around the world, providing a good chance for French-speaking people to enhance mutual understanding and association, as well as contributing to the vision of living peacefully with respect to cultural diversity and dissimilarities.
