Under the theme ‘agricultural restructuring associated with modern rural area construction’, the contest attracted hundreds of submissions from all over the country. The organising board selected and presented 103 articles in Nhan Dan daily.

The articles vividly reflect new and advanced models in the field of farming, economic development, agricultural production and construction of a modern countryside.

The writings also praise collective and individual efforts in bringing new seeds and livestock as well as scientific and technological applications into production, resulting in high economic efficiency and effective poverty reduction.

At the same time, the authors analysed and proposed practical solutions to agricultural and rural development.

Among 31 works on the short list for the final round, the organising board decided to present 18 awards to winners of the contest, including three B prizes, six C prizes, and nine consolation prizes. The awards ceremony will be held at the Au Co Arts Centre, No. 8 Huynh Thuc Khang street in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh district and broadcast live on Vietnam Television Channel 2 at 8.30pm on March 29.

After the fourth edition in 2014, the organising board agreed to launch the fifth Agriculture – Farmers – Rural Areas writing contest this year.
