The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The competition is open to all Vietnamese citizens as well as domestic and international organisations currently located in Vietnam.
Entries should be written in Vietnamese and emailed to thicaicachtthc-bhxh@vss.gov.vn or sent to Vietnam Social Insurance, No.7 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
The deadline for all entries is October 31, 2015. An awards ceremony for the contest winners is scheduled for some time in December, 2015.
According to VSI General Director Nguyen Thi Minh, the contest aims to select initiatives to reform administrative procedure; shorten time and reduce fees for individuals and organisations in making social, unemployment and health insurance transactions.
The VSI has so far cut 263 procedures down to 115, saving nearly VND3.67 trillion (US$174 million) in the State budget, surpassing the set-goal by the government, reported VSI General Director Minh.
Addressing the event, Deputy PM Phuc highly appreciated the VSI’s efforts to reform its administrative procedures. The VSI was asked to regard administrative reform as a key political task as it brings immediate benefits to the population, and focuses on embracing technological advances.
