The test broadcast aired on June 21 in correlation with the 90th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day with the official opening broadcast scheduled for September 2, Vietnam’s National Day.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Nhan Dan’s Editor-in-chief Thuan Huu recalled many difficulties that the newspaper’s staff has overcome since preparations for the channel began two years ago.

He expected that Nhan Dan TV, despite considerable challenges ahead, would soon secure an important position amongst domestic viewers, given the reputation of Nhan Dan Newspaper over the last six decades.

Director of Nhan Dan TV Dinh Nhu Hoan said its staff would make a continued effort to enhance the quality of the channel’s programmes with the overall goal of making it a major TV channel amongst audiences throughout the nation.
