The State President congratulated Vien, who had an excellent run at the 28th SEA Games, winning eight gold medals and breaking eight Games’ records despite her young age.

Vien’s hard training, strong will and tremendous efforts significantly contributed to the success of the Vietnamese delegation at the event while affirming the talents of Vietnamese youth, the President stressed.

Vien has established herself as an example for other Vietnamese youngsters to follow, he added.

President Sang expressed his hope that through Vien’s example, younger generation would continue to embrace difficulties and make achievements in all fields, contributing to realising Uncle Ho’s wish to make the motherland stronger.
