The line is 44 kilometres long; the length of the cable above water is 24.5 kilometres, and has a transmission capacity of 70 MVA.

It is being constructed under a project to supply power to the province’s island of Lai Son. A 110 kV transformer station with a capacity of 50 MVA will also be built on the island as part of the project.

The project is designed to supply hundreds of millions of kWh of electricity per year, benefiting nearly 2,000 households on the island. It is expected to be completed by April next year.
