According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), the highest temperature during daytime will hover around 35-37 degrees Celsius, even reaching 38-39 degrees Celsius in some areas, including Hanoi.
The temperature will stay above 35 degrees Celsius for 11-17 hours a day, it said.
The northern and central coastal regions have been baking in hot weather for the past several days, with the temperature hovering around 36-37 degree Celsius. At around 13:00 on June 12, the temperature was measured at 38.2 degrees Celsiu in Huong Khe district of central Ha Tinh province, 38 degrees Celsius in Dong Ha city of central Quang Tri province and 37.8 degrees Celsius in central Da Nang.
