PM Phuc made the statement at the 15th anniversary of Vietnam Family Day held in Hanoi on June 28.
The Government leader extended his best wishes to Vietnamese families.
He reiterated that the Party and State always pay attention to family work through specific policies and asked minitries, agencies, localities, families and individuals to take actions to promote sound family values.
The leader urged relevant agencies and ministries to effectively implement policies related to family, improve public awareness on the important role of families’ in the development of society, enhance State management in family work and foster inter-sectoral collaboration in family work.
Communication on family values, particularly the importance of family in social life, and the movement on promoting cultural lifestyle and families should be enhanced while studies on Vietnamese families in addition to appropriate and effective policies should be carried out, PM Phuc added.
At the ceremony, outstanding families joined an exchange with audiences and a special arts performance on Vietnamese family took place.
