PM urges improvement of citizen reception, settlement of complaints, denunciations

NDO—The Government Office has recenlty announced Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s conclusions after the national conference on the reception of citizens and the settlement of complaints and denunciations.

In the time to come, the situation of complaints and denunciations will continue to be complicated, taking place in localities with mistakes, gaps and weaknesses in State administration, especially in the fields of management and land use.

To rectify and overcome the shortcomings and limitations of State management, as well as to improve the efficiency of citizen reception and the settlement of complaints and denunciations, PM Phuc requested that the reception of citizens take place on a regular basis and that it be the responsibility of all organisations and units in the political system in the spirit of building a transparent, strong and united Government that will take drastic, creative and effective action and do its best to serve the people.

Ministers, heads of ministry-level agencies, heads of Government bodies, chairmen of provinces and centrally run cities and heads of State administrative agencies were asked to take on more responsibilities, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of State management, step up administrative reform, strengthen inspection and examination and resolutely punish violators, naming them publicly.

In addition, the quality of the planning and management of land and housing construction should also be paid special attention while the acquisition and compensation of land and resettlement must be implemented in a transparent manner, in accordance with policies and laws, in order to ensure a stable life for the people and a harmony of interests among the State, investors and land-users.
