With an allocated time of up to one hour, participants will be asked to develop programs with a maximum file size of 25 MB and a minimum length of 25 seconds.

As the contest’s theme is “Public Transport,” the programs should present the definition and the benefits of public transport and how it can be used to solve the current traffic problem, as well as to suggest ways to improve public transport.

The WeCode contest is held as part of the Digital Campus organised by Youth On Unity, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the social, educational and physical development of the youth.

Targeting primary and secondary school students in the Southeast Asian region, the competition aims to cultivate the students’ Higher-Order Thinking Skills, such as problem-solving, creative thinking and finding innovative solutions to problems.

Five Vietnamese students received prizes at the 2015 event, which was held in December in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
