Vietnam wins bronze at World Microsoft Office contest

Vietnamese representative, Bui Manh Tu, has surpassed hundreds of thousands of competitors, from around the world, to win the bronze medal for the Microsoft Word 2013 category, under the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship (MOSWC) 2017 contest in the US.

Manh Tu, a 10th grade student from Le Hong Phong High School in Nam Dinh province, was deemed an excellent representative of Vietnam at the event, surpassing thousands of other contestants in the local and national rounds to secure a ticket to this year’s MOSWC final competition, to be held from July 30 to August 2, in the US.

Since first participating in the contest in 2010, Vietnamese candidates have proved their ability with consecutive high rankings in the final rounds.

The final round of MOSWC 2017 was held in the US from July 30 to August 2, with the participation of 150 contestants from 50 different countries and territories worldwide.

There were 1.2 million contestants who competed in the initial qualifying rounds.

First held in 2002, MOSWC is an annual competition involving Microsoft Office applications held by Certiport – the leading test delivery solution provider for the global workforce and academic markets.
