PM works with Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a working session with the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (VULAA) in Hanoi on August 4.

In his speech, PM Phuc spoke highly of the efforts and contributions made by the writers and artists over the past few years, adding that the have always stood together with the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, for national independence and socialism, and for the happiness of the people.

During the period of reformation over the past 30 years, culture and the arts in the country have continued to grow strongly and have obtained numerous significant achievements, he added.

The Government leader said he believes that Vietnamese writers and artists throughout the country, especially members of the VULAA, would continue to work even harder and contribute further to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

The VULAA should also be more proactive in implementing the resolutions of the Party Central Committee on the construction and development of Vietnamese culture and people in order to meet the requirements of sustainable development for the country, as well as working towards the construction and development of literature and the arts, he noted.

The union was also assigned the task of boosting the production of high-quality literary works, which are expected to truthfully reflect the breath of life and national construction and defence, while contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture.
