Winners of press contest on Vietnam’s international integration honoured

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on November 21 to honour winners of the national press contest themed ‘Vietnam – the process of international integration’.

From October 15, 2016 to May 10, 2017, the organising board received 121 entries by 88 writers and 27 units around the country.

Out of the submitted entries, 114 works eligible for judging and seven unpublished on printing and online newspapers.

The first prizes went to groups of writers: Pham Cong Nhat and Nguyen Xuan Dieu (from Ho Chi Minh City Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper with the article ‘Before APEC, what did young people prepare?”; and journalists: Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Tran Anh Tuyet, Hoang Van Anh and Trinh Binh from Nhan Dan (People) newspaper for their work on export growth.

In addition, two second, three third and ten consolation prizes were awarded to other outstanding reporters and journalists.

Three press agencies with the most entries, including Ho Chi Minh City Youth newspaper, Dau Tu (Investment) newspaper and Hai Quan (Customs) newspaper, were also honoured at the ceremony.

Launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the press contest aims to provide full coverage in the process of Vietnam’s international integration in all fields.
