At the ceremony, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the Ministries of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Information and Communications in organising the auction to raise funds for the poor. He also praised the organisations and individuals across the country, who have actively responded to the auction.

He congratulates FLC Group, which won the items with a VND20 billion bid.

The Prime Minister asked the leaders of 20 poor districts, which received the proceeds of the auctions, to use the funds to build 500 houses, worth VND40 million each, for people who have given meritorious services and poor people. The funds should be utilised in a fair and transparent manner, for the purchase of the right objects, in keeping with the purpose of the auction.

Previously, on February 1, PM Phuc handed over a ball and football shirt signed by the U23 footballers to the Ministries of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Information and Communications for an auction to raise funds for the poor.

On the final day of the auction on February 11, FLC Group won the items with a VND20 billion bid.
