Vietnamese students graduate from Russia’s nuclear power university

As many as 62 Vietnamese students were honoured with graduation certificates from the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering under the National Research Nuclear University on March 12 in the Russian city of Obninsk city.

This is the second group of Vietnamese students to graduate from the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering, under the support programme from the State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM).

Among graduates this year, 18 received ‘red’ certificates for their excellent results.

Speaking at the event, ROSATOM’s General Director Alexey Likhachev appreciated the students at the Institute, expressing his hope that the graduates would continue their studies and research to enhance cooperation in the field of nuclear power between Vietnam and Russia.

Minister-Counselor from the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia Lai Ngoc Doan congratulated the graduates, encouraging them to contribute to the country’s economic development in the near future.

He affirmed that the students would be a bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister-Counselor also gave sincere thanks to the lecturers at the Institute as well as for the support of ROSATOM Corporation.

In 2017, 20 Vietnamese students graduated from the Institute with high results.
