NA Chairwoman joins Hanoi children at Mid-autumn celebration

National Assembly Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, joined 1,000 outstanding children and those living in difficult circumstances in Hanoi at a celebration for the Mid-autumn festival on September 20.

The event was also attended by Politburo member and Secretary of Hanoi city Party Committee, Hoang Trung Hai, and member of Party Central Committee and Minister of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Dao Ngoc Dung.

Addressing the event, Politburo member Hoang Trung Hai applauded the efforts made by the children who overcame their difficulties and gained excellent academic performances.

The Mid-autumn celebration was a gift from the city’s leaders, he said, expressing his hope that the event would bring the participants a lot of joy and happy memories.

He stressed that the city’s authorities have directed the relevant sectors to organise a range of activities for children to make a merry Mid-autumn festival from early August. The leaders of the city also presented gifts to disadvantaged children on the occasion.
