The Vietnamese pavilion attracted numerous visitors who were welcomed to taste the signature Vietnamese dish of ‘nem cuon’ (spring roll) and enjoy Vietnamese coffee.

Themed “Love Knows No Borders – to Hear the Love from the World”, the bazaar was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of People’s Republic of China and the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation to raise funds for hearing-impaired children and poor people in Gansu province, China.

Addressing the event, Qian Wei, spouse of Chinese State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi thanked the foreign diplomats and international organisations for their enthusiastic support of the event.

Not only aiming at fundraising, the bazaar has been established as a venue for foreign communities in China to promote their land, people, handicraft products, culture and cuisine to international friends.

The event has also provided an opportunity for participating organisations to foster cultural exchanges and tighten solidarity and friendship with the host country.

All proceeds from the charity bazaar will be used for charity activities. According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the 2017 event raised more than US$700,000.
