French PM inaugurates International School Alexandre Yersin

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe attended a ceremony to inaugurate France’s International School Alexandre Yersin in Long Bien district, Hanoi, on November 3.

The ceremony was also attended by Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc.

Addressing the event, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said that the school is built in typical French architectural style and its new location matches Hanoi’s development and students’ learning needs.

Established in 1982 in Ba Dinh district of Hanoi, Alexandre Yersin was one of the biggest international schools in the capital city. In 2016, construction of its new premise began on 2.8ha of land in Long Bien district.

International School Alexandre Yersin is part of a 492 school network directly managed by the French Education Agency Abroad. It has trained hundreds of thousands students from kindergarten to secondary education in 137 countries worldwide.
