Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam urges enhancement of vocational education

The Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) should consider vocational education as a key task to meet requirements of human resources for the country.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam made the statement at a conference held by the MoLISA to devise its tasks for 2019, in Hanoi on January 18.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy PM appreciated the comprehensive achievements that the Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs sector gained in the past year.

The quality of human resources is a vital question, so the sector should focus on implementing the work of human training in the near future, he added.

Deputy PM Dam asked the MoLISA to pay more attention to taking care of revolutionary contributors and policy beneficiaries, particularly martyrs' families.

Regarding the development of social insurance, he said that the sector needs to consult the experience of developing health insurance through assigning specific targets for each locality.

The Deputy PM urged the MoLISA and localities nationwide to strictly follow the Prime Minister's guidance on the establishment of sections that are responsible for child protection in accordance with the Law on Children.

At the conference, he also stressed the importance of the application of information and technology in the sector’s activities.
