Outstanding Vietnamese Young Faces of 2018 honoured

Ten Outstanding Vietnamese Young Faces in 2018 were honoured at a ceremony held in Hanoi on March 19 in the presence of Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.

The ten winners of the famed award were selected from 139 candidates in 10 categories across the country.

The 10 young faces are Miss Universe Vietnam H’Hen Nie with outstanding achievements and involvement in the category of culture-arts, Nguyen Duc Thanh and Vong Binh Long in the category of scientific research and innovation, Nguyen Phuong Thao in the category of study, Van Dinh Hong Vu in the category of startup - business, Tran Van Thuyet in the category of labour and production, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai in the sports category, Nguyen Van Thuan in the defence category, Le Trong Hieu in the security and order category, and Le Dinh Hieu in the category of social activities.

Addressing the event, Deputy PM Binh praised the outstanding young faces, saying that they are the most elite nucleuses of the Vietnamese young generations who have exerted themselves to contribute to national construction.

He expressed his hope that the honoured faces would always be aware of their responsibility and mission to continue to study, nurture their dreams, create a spillover effect among the youth and make more contributions to the society.

The ceremony also announced the list of 10 Promising Young Faces in 2018. They are Vo Minh Quang and Dao To Loan in the culture-arts category, Pham Duc Anh in the study category, Ho Duc Hoan and Vu Hoang Yen in the startup-business category, Nguyen Hai Long and Tran Dang Khoa in the labour and production category, Bui Thi Thu Thao in the sports category, Vang Lao Tu in the defence category and Ta Van Cuong in the security and order category.

The annual event was held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee to mark the founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26) and praise outstanding youth under 35 years old with significant achievements in various areas.
