Meeting marks 88th anniversary of HCYU in Russia

A meeting marking the 88th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) was held in Moscow, Russia on March 23.

A video clip was screened at the event to introduce participants to the history and development of HCYU and its activities in Russia over the past two decades. The HCYU in Russia is the largest of its kind abroad with 5 municipal chapters, 14 inter-chapters and 38 chapters grouping over 4,000 members.

Permanent Vice Secretary of the HCYU’s Civil Affairs Committee in Russia Nguyen Xuan Hoan delivered a letter of congratulations by First Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee Le Quoc Phong.

Secretary of the Lenin Communist Youth Union Yaroslav Listov shared his opinion about the role of youth unionists and youths in national construction and development, and the future of communism as well.

With outstanding achievements in HCYU work and youth movement 2018 such as Vietnamese Students’ Sport Festival in Moscow in 2018 summer, “Ring the Golden Bell” programme, Obninsk camp, voluntary student movement, many HCYU chapters and members were awarded with certificates of merit by the HCYU Central Committee and HCYU’s Civil Affairs Committee.

Music performances were also staged at the event.
