The government senior official made the statement during yesterday’s reception at the Government Headquarters for a delegation of people from the southernmost province of Ca Mau with meritorious services to the nation. The delegation was on a visit to Hanoi to pay tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.

In welcoming the delegates, Deputy PM Binh, who is also a Politburo member, affirmed that the Party and State always remember the services of heroic martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, veterans and revolutionary contributors.

Multiple policies to support them in housing, allowances, health rehabilitation, health insurance, education and vocational training, among others, have been facilitated, Binh stated.

However, he also said that no matter how many policies have been implemented, it is not enough to repay the great sacrifice of the predecessors in the past resistant wars. Giving the utmost care for the policy beneficiaries is the responsibility of the Party, State and the whole society, to make this meaningful work more and more effective, thus promoting the nation’s fine tradition of “drinking water, remembering its source”.

Deputy PM Binh also praised the efforts of Ca Mau authorities in taking care of people with meritorious services, while also urging the province to better this work. He also expressed his hope that the local national contributors will continue to promote their revolutionary tradition in setting moral examples in effectively implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies for the young generations to follow.

Currently, Ca Mau has over 19,600 policy beneficiaries that receive monthly allowance.
