This is the fifth cooperation agreement signed between the two sides in order to address issues related to traffic safety in Vietnam through communication campaigns and research.

Under this year’s agreement, the VAMM will provide training on traffic safety for more than 5 million people in 2019, up 130% as compared to the 2018 target, and present 31,000 helmets to citizens.

The association will also sponsor research on studying the current situation of training and examinations for driving licenses for motor vehicle drivers in Vietnam and solutions for improvement.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, VAMM President Keisuke Tsuruzono said that the association will step up its communication campaigns on traffic safety and safe driving, contributing to reducing traffic accidents and improving the traffic environment in Vietnam.

Over the past five years, the VAMM has hosted numerous communication campaigns on traffic safety, benefiting more than 13 million people, handed out up to 200,000 helmets, and provided safe driving guidelines for traffic policemen.
