Participants at the conferences analysed sub-indicates of Lam Dong’s PCI and discussed experiences and solutions to improve the province’s PCI and business environment.

Over the past three years, Lam Dong has achieved most of the targets set in its commitment to improving its business environment, which can be seen in shortening the time required for businesses registration, tax payment and construction appraisal; and cutting in administrative procedures.

At the same time, the provincial authorities have implemented many policies supporting businesses in gaining access to finance, land, and science and technology. As a result, the total number of newly-established firms has seen an increase of 15% year-on-year.

The province ranked 27th in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) 2018 and was highly appreciated by the business community for its significant improvements in the six sub-indicates of land access, time spent on regulatory compliance, informal charges, equal competitiveness, proactivity of local leadership, and legal institutions.

The province has maintained its top spot among localities in the Central Highlands region over the past three years.
