Nhan Dan Newspaper hands over school to remote district

Nhan Dan Newspaper held a ceremony on April 23 to inaugurate and hand over a school in Nam Nhung village, Ngoc Linh commune, Vi Xuyen district, in the mountainous province of Ha Giang.

The project was implemented by Nhan Dan Newspaper, in collaboration with BeeGreen JSC, with a total investment of over VND1 billion.

Covering an area of over 300 square metres, the school is expected to provide pre-school and primary education services to nearly 100 ethnic minority students.

The new school was designed modernly, including four classes, a kitchen, a toilet, a flower garden and equipment suitable forsmall children.

At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Dinh Nhu Hoan expressed his hope that the local authorities, teachers and students will make more efforts to improve the quality of teaching and learning methods.

He also said that, over the past two years, the newspaper has co-ordinated with Bee Green Company to present 2,6000 gifts worth a total of over VND2 billion to poor families in Vi Xuyen and Hoang Su Phi districts.

For his part, Vice Chairman of Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee Tran Duc Quy gave thanks to Nhan Dan Newspaper and Bee Green Company for the school which meets thepractical needs of students in the remote district.
