Addressing the event, Deputy PM Binh said that Moc Hoa is a land rich in revolutionary tradition during the years of struggling for national liberation but the lives of local residents continue to face difficulties, particularly in the three communes of Binh Thanh, Binh Hoa Tay and Binh Hoa Dong.
He noted that the rate of poor households in border communes is still high, thus, providing care for local residents is a meaningful and humane activity.
The Government official said that the activity aims to respond to the movement “The whole country joins hands for the poor – No one is left behind” while strengthening the friendship between localities along the shared border of Vietnam and Cambodia.
He proposed for more activities to support needy people of the two countries with the participation of more donors and benefactors.
The health examination programme was jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University and Saigon Co-op.
On the same day, Deputy PM Binh visited several households in Binh Thanh commune who have made achievements in crop transformation.
