Deputy PM inaugurates secondary school in Long An

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attended a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over Binh Thanh secondary school and 11 rural bridges funded by Agribank to the Mekong Delta province of Long An on May 5.

The Binh Thanh secondary school sits on a site of 10,000 sq.m with 12 classrooms, 23 functional rooms, one multi-functional sporting hall and other facilities. It was built for over one year at a total cost of over VND46 billion (US$2 million) funded by the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank).

The 11 rural bridges in Moc Hoa, Thanh Hoa and Duc Hue districts were built at a total cost of over VND15 billion.

Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Binh lauded businesses and philanthropists for helping Long An build infrastructure works in poor and border areas.

He asked the beneficiaries to seriously follow State regulations on works maintenance and exploitation, as well as fully tap them to meet public demand.
