The Government official asked leaders of pedagogical schools to point out inadequacies and obstacles in current pedagogical training to propose solutions to problems and to contribute to the draft project on the reorganisation of pedagogical schools which is being developed by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET).

The Deputy PM raised the issue that the training of teachers should not only rely on pedagogical universities but graduates of other majors can also learn about pedagogy skills. He noted that the MoET should consider the issue and supplement the project on the reorganisation of pedagogical schools.

Dam noted that the budget for pedagogical training at both central and local levels should be used more effectively in addition to more diverse scholarship policies to improve the quality of education and training and to meet the demand for teachers of each locality.

Meanwhile, localities should ensure the budget to provide regular training for local teachers, the Deputy PM said.

Dam also urged pedagogical universities to expand cooperation and links with other universities to provide pedagogical training for not only pedagogical students but students of other majors as well.

The Government official asked pedagogical schools to be exemplary in various areas, including implementing autonomy and building morality and culture in teaching and operations, among others.
