Permanent Deputy PM presents gifts to locals in Tay Ninh’s Tan Bien district

Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visited and presented gifts to needy students and policy beneficiary households in the border commune of Tan Lap, in Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province.

The Government official presented 100 bikes to needy students who recorded good academic results and 150 gifts to needy and policy beneficiary families in Tan Lap district.

He also granted scholarships to outstanding students and aids to local teachers in addition to providing loudspeakers to the commune and assisting the commune in preserving the Revolutionary Base of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam, which cost over VND1 billion (US$43,000) in total.

The Deputy PM lauded the authorities and people of Tan Lap commune for overcoming difficulties to achieve encouraging socio-economic results in recent years.

He stated that the Government has always paid due attention to the lives of local people in border areas and revolutionary bases and has issued many policies for socio-economic development and sustainable poverty reduction in these areas.

Deputy PM Binh also asked leaders of Tay Ninh province and Tan Bien district to continue in effectively implementing socio-economic development policies, ensuring national defence and security and building a border line of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
