Activities held for children to enjoy Mid-Autumn Festival

A wide variety of activities were held on September 12-13 nationwide to bring a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival to children, particularly those who are living in difficult circumstances.

Leaders of the northern province of Lang Son visited and presented Mid-Autumn gifts to children who are cared and educated at the province’s social protection centre, Loc Binh district’s Hy Vong (Hope) centre, Tan My commune kindergarten in Van Lang district, and Dong Giap commune kindergarten in Van Quan district.

The local leaders wished children a warm and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, while hoping that they would continue to try their best to gain more achievements in studying.

* Also on September 12-13, agencies, enterprises and benefactors in Dak Lak province sent delegations to remote and border communes to hold meaningful activities on Mid-Autumn Festival for needy children.

At the programmes, the organising boards presented gifts and scholarships to outstanding students.

* On the evening of September 12, the Mid-Autumn Festival programmes were also held for children of officers, soldiers and employees of the Staff and the Political Bureau of the Military Region 2.

* The children of officials, employees and soldiers at the Division 316 had a chance to enjoy the festival, with various ebullient activities.

* The Vietnam Television broadcasted a special programme for children on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival on VTV1 channel on September 13.

Little audiences met with many fairy, cartoon, and mythical characters as well as enjoyed interesting performances.
