Enterprises lauded on Vietnam Entrepreneurs’ Day

The central province of Nghe An held a meeting on October 13 gathering 300 local entrepreneurs on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13).

Leaders of the province acknowledged and praised entrepreneurs for overcoming difficulties to gain positive achievements in their production and business activities.

The community of more than 12,500 enterprises in the locality have contributed to promoting local socio-economic development. The province reported a Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of over VND62.93 trillion (US$2.7 billion) in the first nine months of 2019, an increase of 7.68% over the same period last year.

*The National Assembly’s Economic Committee, the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE) and a club of Vietnamese enterprises held an art exchange entitled “The Journey of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in the Past and Present" in Hanoi on October 13.

The event included art performances honouring pioneer enterprises and sharing on business opportunities and challenges amid the globalisation trend.

*Thanh Hoa Province also held a ceremony on October 13 to honour outstanding enterprises in 2019. The province currently has nearly 15,000 enterprises who have made great contributions to boosting the province’s GRDP growth to over 20% per year.

*The Enterprises’ Association of Bac Giang Province launched a supporting and consultancy centre for enterprises at the provincial public administrative centre on October 13.

The supporting centre will provide services related to the establishment, restructuring, training and production of enterprises in the locality.

*On October 13, many other localities such as Da Lat City and Soc Trang Province also held gatherings to praise outstanding enterprises on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day.
