Vietnam National University named in world’s top 500 in engineering and technology

The Vietnam National University (Hanoi) has been ranked 401-500 among the world's top 1,008best universities in terms of engineering and technology.

The information was revealed at the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject – The WUR by subject 2020.

Vietnam has three universities named in the rankings, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (301-400), Vietnam National University, Hanoi (401-500) and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (601-800).

The rankings features the universities that are leading across the subjects of general engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering.

The universities are ranked based on 13 indicators that measure their performance through Teaching (the learning environment), Research (volume, income and reputation), Citations (research influence), International outlook (staff, students and research) and Industry income (innovation).

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 includes 1,400 universities across 92 countries, the largest and most diverse university rankings ever.
