The State official made the request at a conference held in Hanoi on January 6 by the Central Council for Emulation and Rewards to review the five-year implementation of Politburo’s Directive No.34 on renovating emulation and commendation work, and to set tasks for 2020.

She called for more communication campaigns to popularise the Directive to wider people, thus raising their awareness of the emulation movements’ role in the national construction and defence.

Over the past five years since the Directive No.34 was promulgated, a number of initiatives have been put forward to boost emulation movements with a wider focus, attracting more enthusiastic participation of people from all walks of life.

As a result, organisations and individuals standing out from emulation movements have been commended and encouraged in a timely manner.

At the same time, the coordination between functional agencies and media agencies have been strengthened, contributing to stepping up communication campaigns on emulation and rewards as well as developing programmes encouraging good examples and good deeds.
