The Party official made the remarks at a working session with the Party Committee of the Hanoi Business Bloc in Hanoi on March 24.

He asked media agencies to spread the information on the construction of the hospital to set as an example for the business community to admire and follow, contributing to the fight against the epidemic.

The UDIC has transformed the Me Linh General Hospital in the outskirts of Hanoi into a field hospital in only a week amid the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic.

UDIC General Director Nguyen Van Luyen said that the company has mobilised 300-500 workers to work day and night to complete the hospital in a week, in advance of the set schedule.

Hanoi Housing Investment and Development JSC (Handico) is also working to build two isolation facilities and a field-hospital in Son Tay town.

The working session also heard about the production and business situation of local enterprises amidst the outbreak of the epidemic.
