Region 2 of Coast Guard High Command supports fishermen

Region 2 of the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command organised a programme entitled "Coast Guard accompanying fishermen" in Cu Lao Cham, Tan Hiep Island Commune, Hoi An City, in the central province of Quang Nam, on July 10-11.

Within the series of activities, medical teams and doctors of the Coast Guard High Command's Region 2 visited andprovided free medical examination and medicine to 50 people of Cu Lao Cham, Tan Hiep Island Commune.

In addition, the officers and soldiers also visited and presented 50 gifts worth VND1 million to policy beneficiary families and fishermen living in difficult circumstances in Tan Hiep Island Commune.

On the occasion, the Organising Committee of the programme also presented 10 bicycles and 20 scholarships worth VND1 million each to needy students.

A total of 500 national flags and 20 first-aid bags were also presented to fishermen on the island.
