Art programme marks 75th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Public Security

An art programme entitled “For Peace of Life” was held in Hanoi on August 12 to mark the 75th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2020) and the 15th anniversary of the “All people protect national security” movement (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2020).

At the event, which was hosted by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) and the Ministry of Public Security, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, VGCL President Nguyen Dinh Khang, and the Deputy Minister of Public Security, Major General Tran Quoc To.

Participants at the event were entertained with songs and dances praising the land and people of Vietnam as well as the glorious tradition of the people’s police force.

Addressing the event, VGCL President Nguyen Dinh Khang said that over the years, a number of labour union organisations police forces have been actively coordinating in implementing activities and movements to ensure national security as well as safety in the workplace.

He noted that many exemplary models have stood out for their good practices and initiatives in discovering, preventing and denouncing various crimes and legal offences, contributing to maintaining security and order in localities.

On the occasion, a total of 94 collectives and individuals were presented with certificates from the Ministry of Public Security in recognition of their contributions to the “All people protect national security” movement.
