Temperature plunges in North and North Central Vietnam

A cold spell has brought rains to the North and the North Central region as temperature in such regions plunge to as low as 12C from today, November 16.

According to the national weather service, in combination with circulation of Storm Vamco, the Northern provinces will be cloudy from today with heavy rains appearing in some locations.

By November 16, the lowest temperature in the Northern and North Central provinces will range from 17-20C, even falling below 12C in mountainous areas.

From last night, moderate rainfall has occurred in most of the regions, with heavy rains forecast for North Central and Northern Delta, as well as Hoa Binh, Son La, Bac Giang and Viet Bac region.

Landslides and flooding are warned in the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh, as well as in low-lying, riverside and urban areas in the provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
