With the app, users can look up essential information such as their social security number, the history of their social security contributions and benefits, as well as social security policies.

They can also monitor employers’ obligation of paying social insurance contributions and are provided with round-the-clock support services.

Speaking at the launch ceremony on November 16, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the VSS for applying technology to its operations to bring benefits to its customers, thus helping to achieve the goal of social security reform.

He asked the VSS to carry out several tasks so that social security can become the pillar of Vietnam’s welfare system.

The head of government suggested that the agency should consider the integration of public services and payment systems into the app to make it more convenient for users.

The VssID app is available on both Android and iOS.
