The event was organised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the traditional day of the VFF (November 18, 1930-2020).
In Da Nang, patriotic emulation movements launched by the VFF have been warmly responded to by people from all walks of life. Fronts at all levels have built 112 pilot models for replication in 1,119 residential areas, for example, “Environmentally-friendly residential areas”, “Residential areas without crime and social evils”, “Safe residential areas”, among others.
During the two outbreaks of COVID-19 in the city, the city front called for support from organisations, businesses, and donors and mobilised nearly VND72 billion in cash and a great deal of many medical supplies, equipment, and necessities worth over VND40 billion.
The city front has promptly distributed goods and funds for epidemic prevention and control and supported people facing difficulties caused by the epidemic, ensuring social security in the area.
At the ceremony, the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City also commended and rewarded 90 collectives and individuals for their outstanding contributions to the patriotic emulation movements.
