Practical activities held to care for the poor during Tet

NDO - Various meaningful activities are being held across the nation to offer support for poor and disadvantaged people on theoccasion of the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year Festival).

A delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Department of Education and Training visited and presented 70 Tet gifts worth a total of VND70 million to poor households in Giai Xuan Commune, Tan Ky District, Nghe An Province.

The Provincial General Friendship Hospital mobilised all officials and employees as well as agencies, enterprises and donors who are partners of the hospital to donate over VND670 million to the “Fund for poor patients” and the campaign entitled “Tet for the poor”.

* Binh Long Town Military Command, in the southern province of Binh Phuoc, in collaboration with a volunteer group fromHKT Entertainment Company and members of the Charity Heart Fund in Ho Chi Minh City presented 250 gifts to poor households in the town and Hon Quan District to celebrate the Tet 2021.

Artists, singers and magicians in the volunteer delegation performed many unique performances to the excitement of localpeople.

* A delegation of the Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, led by the PCC’s memberand Deputy Head of the Commission Dieu K'Re, visited and presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, ethnic minority families who are living in difficult circumstances in Dien Bien District as well as orphans at the provincial Social ProtectionCentre in Dien Bien Province.
