Diverse activities held in celebration of 13th National Party Congress

Various activities have been organised at localities across the country in recent days to welcome the 13th National Party Congress.

* A number of performing arts activities were held by theatres in addition to the organisation of exhibitions at museums and libraries and film screenings in Hanoi on January 23 and 24 to celebrate the Party Congress.

In particular, the National Library of Vietnam at No.31 Trang Thi Street is running an exhibition on the Party with the showcase of 1,000 documents on the foundation, development and Congresses of the Party.

*In Thanh Hoa, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa Province held a festival on January 24 to propagandise and celebrate the 13th National Party Congress. Nearly 400 reporters, artists, and artisans from 27 districts in the province carried out song and danceperformances on the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the strength of great unity.

*On the same day, the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Ninh Province and Quang Ninh University launched an art exhibition featuring 68 paintings on the Party, spring and images of Quang Ninh Province.

*Lang Son Provincial Museum has also launched an exhibition on the Congresses of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which will run until March 15.

*The Ministry of Defence held a meeting with 125 military representatives on January 24 who will attend the 13th National Party Congress. General Ngo Xuan Lich, Minister of Defence asked delegates to actively participate in the agenda and tasks set out by the Congress in order to contribute to the success of the Congress.

*Trinh Tuong Border Station in Bat Xat District, Lao Cai Province, and Vietinbank held a programme on January 24 to welcome Tet and celebrate the 13th National Party Congress.

* More than 10,000 samples for the second COVID-19 testing of delegates to and personnel serving the 13th National Party Congress turned out negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 as of 8pm on January 24.

According to regulations, all delegates to and personnel serving the event must undergo two tests: the first within seven days prior to the congress and the second within one or two days.
