Exhibition features documents and artefacts about Vietnamese Press during 1946-1954

An exhibition featuring a wide range of valuable documents and artefacts about the Vietnamese Press during the 1946-1954 period opened at the Vietnam Press Museum in Hanoi on April 20.

Organised by the Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA), the opening of the exhibition saw the attendance of many generations of revolutionary journalists, including well-known journalists such as Ha Dang, Pham Phu Bang, Dang Minh Phuong, Thai Duy, Nguyen Khac Tiep.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Vietnam Press Museum Tran Thi Kim Hoa said 2021 marked many major events related to press activities, such as the 75th anniversary of the first general election of the Vietnamese National Assembly, the 7th anniversary of the VJA, the 70th anniversary of the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper, among others.

The organisation of the exhibition was completed after a process of collecting and researching publications, press objects and documents, stories and witnesses with the aim of reviving memories of an arduous period, but one full of pride about the revolutionary press, she added.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until June 21.
