According to a report delivered at the event, nearly 67,000 youth projects and community activities were implemented by youth unions nationwide over the past three months.
During the Youth Month in March in particular, over 1.3 million youth union members engaged in more than 36,000 volunteer activities in relation to building rural areas.
At the same time, up to 22,700 activities were held with a focus on environmental protection, during which nearly 1.9 million trees were planted across the country.
Of which, the ‘Green Sunday’ programme attracted the participation of more than 1.2 million youth union members and youngsters, who joined hands in a series of activities on protecting the living environment, conserving natural resources, adapting to climate change, and preventing drought and saline intrusion.
In addition, thousands of vocational training sessions were held for the youth. A total of 244 new start-up clubs were established by students at universities and colleges..
Numerous activities targeting children were also organised with the aim of improving their skills of preventing drowning and raising their awareness of child abuse.
At the event, 38 youth unions in cities and provinces received the HCYU’s certificates of merit for their outstanding results in implementing Youth Month 2021.
