Localities let students to be off from school for COVID-19 prevention

Preschool children as well as primary, secondary and high school students are required to remain home from school from May 4 until new notice is issued to ensure COVID-19 prevention and control.

During the weeks off, the Hanoi Municipal Department of Education and Training has asked primary, secondary and high schools to deploy online teachings.

Preschools are required to regularly grasp the children’s health situations and instruct their parents to care for and educate them appropriately.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also decided to postpone the examination schedule for 12th grade students, which is scheduled to take place on May 11 and 12.

* On May 3, the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee signed an official letter to allow children and students at all levels to remain absent from school from May 4 until new notice.

The schools, universities, facilities and localities around the province were asked to implement drastic measures in COVID-19 prevention and control.

* Students in Hung Yen Province and Da Nang City have been officially allowed to stay home from school from May 4 due to the complicated and unpredictable developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.
