Businesses contribute helping hands in fight against pandemic

NDO – The Van Thinh Phat Group (VTP Group) on June 9 made an additional donation of VND20 billion in cash to support medical workers and doctors working in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic at grassroots level.

The group also coordinated with the LaviFood Joint Stock Company, Asia Confectionery Pte. (ABC Bakery), and Grove Group Corporation to provide 20,000 meals and fresh fruits for the medical staff. The meals will be prepared and delivered every day to those working in pandemic-hit areas through the Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

VTP Group General Director of Truong Hue Van said that the donation illustrates the gratitude and appreciation of businesses towards those working on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.

The Van Thinh Phat Group always stands ready to actively join hands with the Government and people in this battle. In 2020, the group sponsored 2,000 ventilators . Most recently, in May this year, VTP Group donated VND 1,450 billion to support the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19.

As of noon on June 9, the National Fund for COVID-19 Vaccine had received VND4.197 trillion VND from organisations and individuals. VND3.251 trillion has also been pledged by sponsors but not yet transferred.
